Pharokilo Ghar

Children living in remote areas who experience disability of any kind are socially discriminated and excluded.  Those with mobility challenges have no access to school education.

These are capable, worthy, eager children.  Pharokilo Ghar is a spacious home creating a caring family, a place of belonging and schooling for children who would otherwise remain hidden.

Assistance is provided for education, health, life skills and direction for vocational options.

Prerana Education Partnership

The children of the urban poor in Kathmandu face difficult barriers that keep them locked in generational poverty. We change that by working with families who desire education for their children but have insufficient resources and knowledge. We partner with them to remove those barriers and make school possible.

And we know from experience, to send a needy child to school isn't enough.

Our PEP team provides a strategy of high-touch relationship of encouragement, resources, and life-skills training to both the parents lack (often due to illiteracy), and the children of PEP. We then walk alongside each family and student as advocate, school liaison, educational oversight, and enrichments workshops.

With hands on care for each individual there is hope for a bright future.
